AIDA Europe

The Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA Europe) launched a series of global webinars to unite stakeholders and key decision makers to address issues and topics at the heart of the law insurance industry worldwide.

Association Plus worked with the client to promote, host and coordinate the first in the series, providing technical support and administrative services to ensure the event went successfully.

With over 195 registrations, and over two thirds from outside the UK, the event presented new challenges in crossing geographical, linguistic and time zone borders.  The event surpassed expectation as a first for the association and serves as a solid launchpad for further activity already underway in preparation.

The first AIDA Europe Webinar was entitled ‘The resilience of the IDD to new technologies- How well does the IDD deal with Insurtech challenges?’ and invited renowned speakers including Nic De Maesschalck, Director of BIPAR, European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries, to address topics featured in the AIDA Europe Research Series on Insurance Law and Regulation, published by Springer.

The team coordinated and advised on an appropriate platform, arranging and overseeing all scheduling, collation of materials, organisation and execution.

The team were personally thanked by Alkistis Christofilou, Co-Chair of the AIDA Europe committee, in the opening of the webinar, and delegate feedback was extremely positive about the running and content of the event.
